Day 1:

Arrive in Delhi and Explore Old and New Delhi

Our representative will pick you up from your desired location (hotel / airport / residence) and check you in to your pre-booked hotel. Once you've settled, your guide meets you in the hotel lobby and you get ready to start sightseeing.

In Old Delhi, you'll visit Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque, built by Shah Jahan, and take a cycle-rickshaw ride through the spice markets and silver shops of Chandni Chowk. You'll also pause at Raj Ghat, the quiet riverside memorial to Mahatma Gandhi.

In New Delhi, you visit Humayun's Tomb, the garden tomb that inspired the Taj Mahal's design, and the towering 12th-century Qutub Minar. You then drive down the ceremonial avenue of Rajpath, past the President's House and India Gate.

Day 2:

Delhi to Agra, Taj Mahal and Agra Fort

After breakfast, drive to Agra via the Yamuna Expressway, reaching after a 3 to 4 hour drive. Check into your hotel and have lunch before meeting your Agra guide.

In the afternoon you visit the Taj Mahal, built by Shah Jahan for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Your tour guide explains the calligraphy, the perfect symmetry and the inlaid semi-precious stonework. After the Taj Mahal, visit Agra Fort, the red sandstone palace-fortress where Shah Jahan spent his last years, and finish at Mehtab Bagh across the river for the sunset view.

Day 3:

Sunrise Taj, Fatehpur Sikri and on to Jaipur

Wake up early morning and get ready for the most famous moment — the Taj Mahal at sunrise, when the crowds are thinnest and the morning light is best for photographs. After breakfast and check-out from your hotel, drive to Jaipur. En route, you'll visit Fatehpur Sikri, Emperor Akbar's abandoned capital, where you see Buland Darwaza, the Panch Mahal and the marble tomb of Salim Chishti.

The drive to Jaipur takes you through rural Rajasthan, with a stop at Chand Baori in Abhaneri, a stepwell with more than 3,000 steps arranged in a dizzying geometric pattern. On arrival in Jaipur, check into your pre-booked hotel and visit the local markets in the evening.

Day 4:

Jaipur Sightseeing and Return to Delhi

After a healthy breakfast, start sightseeing in Jaipur city at Amber Fort, situated on a hill road above Maota Lake, with its Ganesh Pol gateway and mirrored Sheesh Mahal. On the way back, stop at Jal Mahal, the palace that appears to float on Man Sagar Lake.

In the city you visit the City Palace, still partly home to Jaipur's royal family, and Jantar Mantar, the 18th-century observatory of giant stone instruments. You stop at Hawa Mahal for the classic photograph of its 953 latticed windows.

After lunch you begin the drive back to Delhi, roughly five to six hours, arriving in the evening for your drop-off at the airport, railway station or hotel.
